Our Founder
Greg
Originally from Long Island, NY, Greg Seaman founded Eartheasy in 2000 out of concern for the environment and a desire to help others live more sustainably. As Editor, Greg combines his upbringing in the cities of New York, Boston and San Francisco with the contrast of 38 years of living ‘off-grid’ to give us a balanced perspective on sustainable living.
Greg spends his free time gardening, working on his home and building a wooden sailboat with hand tools.

Ben CEO
While Ben was in university completing his BSc, he concurrently built a successful contracting firm to pay for his university expenses. Over three years, Ben built the firm to almost half a million dollars in sales and 30 seasonal employees. His desire to do more for the environment, inspired by his lifelong love of nature, led him to work with his father on Eartheasy in 2007. Under Ben’s management, the various products sold on Eartheasy were consolidated into a dedicated online store, with an office and warehouse in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. On the weekends, Ben can usually be found gardening, hiking, or fishing.
Aran Chief Operations Officer
In 2009, Aran joined Eartheasy to help manage the website’s growth. Aran has a degree in business and helped pay for his education by running his own web design business during his studies. Aran has designed and spearheaded the development of Eartheasy’s store & content management system. He ensures that Eartheasy keeps up with the best practices of modern web-based business. Aran enjoys learning about emerging technologies, expanding his culinary skills, hiking, trail-running, and exploring the backcountry.
BlairCommunications Coordinator
Blair has always had a passion for protecting animals and preserving the environment. This passion led Blair to join the Eartheasy team in April of 2013 as the Communications Coordinator. She manages all of Eartheasy’s social media and email channels, as well as blog and influencer partnerships. In her spare time, Blair volunteers at a local kitten rescue agency and has adopted two rescue cats, Benji and Coco. Outside of work, Blair can usually be found in the spin studio or de-stressing in yoga class.
CaseyCategory Manager
Casey manages Eartheasy's products for sustainable living, with a special interest in tools for building gardens and helping people grow their own food. She oversees all aspects of our products from purchasing and inventory to building pages on the website. She loves gardening, art, music, and spending time in nature.
SteveKey Accounts Manager
Steve is the Key Accounts Manager for the wholesale division. He joined the Eartheasy sales team in February of 2016, after working in the building supplies industry for several years prior. Steve is a passionate sports fan and enjoys playing golf in the summer. On a Saturday morning you can typically find him somewhere in the mountains with his Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, Big Russ.
JosepheCommerce Sales Manager
Joseph has a background in financial management and experience running his own Internet marketing company prior to joining the team. At Eartheasy, he puts his skills to good use as our eCommerce Sales Manager. Outside of work, Joseph’s interests include cars, Korean food, and entrepreneurship.
SebastianCategory Manager
Sebastian joined Eartheasy in October 2017 as a Category Manager. He’s always looking for interesting new products from around the world for our distribution division. When he’s not at work you'll find him honing his woodcarving skills, cooking up a storm, or out in the local mountains as a Leader with his Scout Troop.
AmandaCategory Manager
Amanda grew up in a forest filled Pacific Northwest neighborhood. She is passionate about the outdoors, sustainability, running, and dogs. Amanda's love for nature and the environment led her to join the Eartheasy team in September of 2015, where she uses her passion for the outdoors to source environmentally friendly products for the site. Outside of the office you are likely to find Amanda in the forest with her dog or watching hockey.
AshleyCustomer Support Representative
Ashley found Eartheasy in November of 2017 and joined our team to help with all of your product and sustainable living questions! Ashley works within our Customer Service Department and can also be found helping out with other projects around the office. Growing up on the Great Lakes shaped Ashley into an avid sailor. Her love for the water and the environment grew even more when she moved to the West Coast for university. She graduated with a BA, majoring in Environment and Sustainability.
HeatherSales Operation Coordinator
Heather’s passion for the outdoors and sustainability led her to join the Eartheasy team in May 2018. She enjoys working with customers as the Inside Sales Coordinator. When Heather isn't at work, you will find her in the mountains back-country skiing, trail running, or rock climbing.
ShannonContent Editor
Shannon is Eartheasy's editor, responsible for planning and creating our site's content. When not at work, she enjoys hiking, paddling, writing, and playing the fiddle. She also finds vintage typewriters strangely appealing and has a thing for letterpress printing.
